Lockport's Golden boy wasn't so golden after all! Scott how's that CROW taste? I told you so. I knew him better than most and saw what he was capable of a long, long time ago. We did a lot of fight cards together. He was a greedy spoiled rich kid, who is gonna get what he deserves. I have seen him burn bridges with every big name business person in the city. I may not come from money but my parents taught me right from wrong.

What? No one has anything to say now? Where are all the Amer supporters now?
I have one thing to say about Ms. Centner that was caught up in all this. For a college educated smart girl, she was duped by Mr. Abdallah. It's a shame.

Actually, I'm having salad for dinner. No crow for me thanks (high in calories ... and in this case not necessary).
I stand by my earlier statements. I've always found Amer to be a nice guy. Never did anything to me ... and as such, I wasn't about to throw mud when these allegations came out.
I must admit I'm highly disappointed that someone I respected could do something so so wrong ... but do you ever really know someone?
Since he has pled guilty, I have to assume he did what he said he did ... and that being the case, he reaps what he's sown.
As for why you're not getting more response ... there wasn't too much response when it first came out. And many people might not see how it affects them ... although it does affect you in higher interest rates and fees from your credit card company. Just like someone shoplifting from KMart affects their pricing.

But this is a crock. Amer's evil, but this poor poor woman was duped into going along with it? C'mon Kels. Let's be fair here.
Scott, what do you think of me? Would I lie to you? I don't need to make up stories about people. I give people the benefit of the doubt too many times. With me what you see is what you get. I don't need to toot my own horn. I made a good business decision to stop dealing with him and a better one to stop being associated with him. I was the first one to support him and the first one to leave him when I saw his dark side. When I first did it people thought I was crazy to leave when our fight cards were going so well (1500+ per event). But my values were different than his. I can't tell you how many people have called me to say they were sorry for doubting me. Take it from someone who was very close with him. First impressions can be deceiving.]
"As for why you're not getting more response ... there wasn't too much response when it first came out"
Ask Mark Lindsay how many responses a day he got……. I did, he couldn’t keep up. Most the posts though were so bad that they couldn’t be posted. Most people didn’t admire him as much as you. You were a reporter. Why don’t you ask people what they think. I’m sure you would be shocked at the responses. I could write a book with all the negative I know about him.
"I must admit I'm highly disappointed that someone I respected could do something so so wrong ... but do you ever really know someone?"
I try to know my friends, I always listen to things I hear about them and question what I hear….you can never know enough about who you associate with. By the way, what did you respect him for? All the money he made off the community? The fixed fights? I sponsored lots of his fights that I later found out were fixed fights. That was the beginning of the end of our relations.
Kspeer's post: "I have one thing to say about Ms. Centner that was caught up in all this. For a college educated smart girl, she was duped by Mr. Abdallah. It's a shame. "
Your response: But this is a crock. Amer's evil, but this poor poor woman was duped into going along with it? C'mon Kels. Let's be fair here.
That girl loved him, she took Arabic language classes, built his business for him, and even denied being his girlfriend to his parents so he wouldn’t get in trouble…..and the thanks she gets is getting dumped for a middle aged, catholic, Italian, married, mother of three, hairdresser. That’s the kind of user he is. Ask anyone who REALLY knows him and they will tell you just what a classless bum he is.
Scott, I'm sorry if I offend you, but this guy is getting what he deserves. Let’s not sugar coat it.

People may think differently of me, but I tend to give people a lot of slack. If they tighten that slack and hang themselves with it later, that's not on me. It's on them.
We should have known bad things were to come. Amer wore these same "Hamburgler" glasses everyday until he graduated from high school. It's not his fault he was just following in his hero "The Hamburgler's" footsteps.

Let the sentencing begin! Amer gets to leave for a state paid vacation on Monday. The Asst. Dirtrict Attorney recommended a sentence of 3-9 years in jail. I still don't see how he gets to keep a business he admittedly paid for with stolen money. Scott what do you think? Should he get to keep the business? And do you now believe he's guilty?

Does anyone else think it's extremely hypocritical of Lockport's Mayor to fire 2 employees for petty theft, then write a letter of recommendation to the court on Abdallah's behalf? Is stealing OK or not? Does it depend on who you know or how much money and influence you have?
