Talking about dunkin doughnuts may affect tim horton's costermer turn out, well i don't believe it has, but now here's the question,( If for some reason a taco bell comes to the area, will it take away from mighty taco) thats been here for thirty years or so.

I'm a Taco Bell fan and I'd rather drive to Williamsville or Niagara Falls than eat at Mighty Taco ... so I'm already NOT contributing to Mighty Taco and as such, my patronage of the Bell won't hurt them. BUT, that said, I think that other people eat at MT because (it's better than nothing) who will not eat at TB.

My two cents.

I eat at both. I heard that we are going to get a KFC/Taco Bell on Transit Rd. I heard that from a District Manager.

That'd be nice. Will the KFC actually have chicken? The one on West Avenue often doesn't.

I actually prefer Mighty to the Bell, (partially because it tastes better) but also because it's easier to get a burrito without a lot of crap on it. I like just meat & cheese, but it's tough to order anything at TB without a garden stuffed inside it.

Competetition can only help an area like Lockport. We used to have more than one dept. store, like Ames/Hills, K-mart, plus the mall. Now we only have a wal-Mart. We used to have several major grocery chains besides Tops. We need more variety, not less. We can't seem to get enough of auto parts stores or drugstores though.

It would nice to have a KFC that actually has chicken (and sanitary conditions).

Your singing to the choir, the message had long ago been addressed.

There has been a lot of discussion on this board lately about diminishing people's abilities to post anonomously. Much of the rhetoric on the boards has been ... juvenile ... to say the least. And at least one poster would like for people to be REQUIRED to sign in in order to post.

I'm not going to do that ... not yet, at least.

BUT ... there is no negative side to getting a sign in name. No monthly fee. No spam. No newsletter. Ask the rest of the posters, there is no downside.

There ARE several upsides - you get a little insignia all to yourself, you get to play games - etc. AND ... you're taken as being more credible.

The only reason I don't require people to "sign in" is because if you're only going to post once, I don't want to run you through the whole rigamarole (sp?) of signing up - getting a password, etc.

Personally, any post that isn't signed, I ignore. And a post by an "anonymous" person gets only a fraction of the weight as a post by a "user." If you don't believe in yourself enough to at least get a SCREEN NAME to stand behind, that tells me alot.

I ask that you play nice. And humbly beseech the posters who post regularly get a screen name.

Scott, was that a conscious choice not to sign in when talking about signing in?

One time we waited for a 1/2 hour for chicken, and when we finally got it and took it home, it was pink inside! That was 4 years ago - haven't eaten there since.

Does anyone know where to get a good pico de guyo with a real Mexican meal?

Is there such a thing here?

Used to be La Casa Cardenas in NF, but it's under new ownership with a different name now. Sergio, owner of La Casa, has opened a takeout restaurant now - but I don't know where it is.

I think maybe Grandma More's might in Buffalo, but definitely nothing mexican-wise in Lockport!
