I was sent this by one of my overseas friends from the UK. It is certainly worth the read. This is a letter directly to President George Dubya Bush, written by Congressman John Conyers demanding an explaination regarding the Downing Street Memo

The DSM is a document first brought to public eyes by the London Times proving that Bush had definitive plans to go to war with Iraq regardless of Saddam Hussein's compliance to United Nations demands as early as July 2002. WMD's or no WMD's.

Bush's lie has so far killed over 1,600 people, and wounded, dismembered and maimed countless others.

pretty cool. however, it's unlikely gwb has the cahones to actually answer a letter like that. it probably goes to the ever-increasing mountain of hate-mail he gets. iw onder if theres figures on that?

Thanks for the good post, MC. I signed it.

I was opposed to the war when most of the Democratic Party was in love with the idea of going to war. In fact, I wrote legislation for both the Lockport Common Council and the Niagara County Legislature to oppose the war. Both bodies (filled with Democrats at the time) ignored my pleas and opted instead to "do what the administration thought best."
