More on the Plame outing story

Well, a week later and this still seems to be much ado about nothing. Is this the best our politicians and media can come up with to discuss? How about the real problems facing this country?

I think the subject of confidential sources can be solved easily. We institute a government body that answers only to investgative commissions. We'll call them X-Team. X-Team will be sworn to secrecy and the only purpose they will serve is to act as a verifier of facts. Confidential sources are revealed to the X-Team only and they can verify a reporters' story in private, without the source being attacked by the press, the politicians, their flunkies, or even real threats to their safety.

But here's an even better idea. How about if we stop worrying about the home life and background of a source and look to the people they accuse? People like Carl Rove try to point the finger at these secret snitches rather than answer for his own lies and misdeeds. If the source is lying, or is completely fictitious, X-Team will find out.

There must be a good reason these sources want to stay anonymous. Surely the readers of this board can understand that aspect...

but in the end , after all the smoke has cleared , it turns out there was no crime , valery plame was not outed as she was NOT a CIA operative , she worked in a CIA office .
Her law suit against the current adminstration was dismissed .
Karl Rove was never charged because he did nothing wrong.

and yet ;
who in the CIA leaked the original blarney to the Justice department ..somebody had to sign the affidafit ,
that is a crime , why has it not been prosocuted ? where is the outrage ?
