Hate mail ...
Permalink Closed

I frequently get hate mail. People don't like the fact that I express my opinion. People don't like my opinion ... and as such, they don't like me. Most hate mail, I just smirk at and set aside ... but some need to be shared. Here's one I got a few weeks ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I didn't scan in and post the "copy of the web site" since you're already here ... but the post was Ann's post on June 16th 10:08 p.m. on this thread.

Boy someone should put you on a shorter leash! Just kidding, I'm not finding the innacurate info in Ann's post. I see this letter was dated before the 2 most recent news events in Newfane. Ann you seem to have upset Jean, care to comment?

I heard JR go after many issues with the same enthusiasm as you do. Remember his fondness for Cyd? He also went after a few school boards in his day. Much like you, he shared most of the emails he got with his listeners. I don't think that comparison holds much weight.

Real name Jean needs to take the blinders off and open her eyes. You can't see what you don't look for.

I have to wonder why the writer doesn't comment on any one issue, just a general gripe letter. I would like Jean to comment on my post pasted below.

One person cannot simultaneously hold two public offices or positions of employment if one is subordinate to the other, such that the person would essentially be his or her own boss, or if the functions of the two positions are inherently inconsistent with each other, such as simultaneously as the district’s finance officer and as the auditor responsible for the integrity of the district’s finances. (Opinion of the Attorney General I 92-13)
There must be a great likelihood of a division of loyalties or a conflict of duties between the offices, not merely a possibility that such complications may arise on occasion.

I would think that Mills has to sign off on completion of the internship. That would be recieving something of value from him. He answers directly to the School Board President. Wouldn't that be the same as being your own boss? No not in la la land here.

Lets hear how these very honorable folks answer this one.

I hate it whenever anyone gets hate mail! I really do, I hate it.

Tell us about the "good" letters you get Scott. You know, all the ladies that have "hit" on you...and NOT the ones with the umbrellas:) I should know. I sent you one of the "nice" kind. You never responded--naughty boy you.

I'm trying to figure out which psychotic ex-girlfriend that's from, Shughes. Not holding out ... but no, I don't share every bit of mail I get. Some are nice ... some ... aren't. But I can't recall being hit on lately (at least not through a letter). Makes me wonder if the post office is holding out on ME.

Well Ok then, it doesn't seem to be you in particular Scott. It's the gender as a whole this poster has issues with. I could really run with that, but I think there is another thread that has that covered.

What a Freudien slip that was!

I meant, I hate all (my) mail--as in bills, etc.  LOL!

Gee, no way to know for sure that's the same poster. How about adding something that identifies you, but keeps you anonymous.

No really, it was a slip. And it really was me-the-same poster.

I'm very upset. I just went to my mailbox and there was no hate mail. I did get a letter from my friend in San Francisco and she lives in "the Haight." Does that count?

I will say this..if you ever got a lot of hate mail, if it stops you would miss it. It seems to me that thedre is a real interesting thing common to all hate mail, and that is they are hateful.

As long as it's not threatening, there is no limit to what you can write in a 'hate letter.'
