After withstanding months of badgering from several members, I made a new members-only forum. We'll see how it works. If it goes over well, maybe we'll require sign in for all the forums.
User names are free and easy to obtain. You can pick whatever user name you want and i won't know anything about you. You're basically still anonymous. You're just anonymous with a handle. So there's no excuse not to do it.
The Bon Marche forum has been dormant for seven days now. Was it a good idea whose time just hasn't come? Should I kill it? Or are people going to use it? I'll give it a while to see what happens.
I changed a setting that allowed people to edit their posts. Now you can only edit within 24 hours of posting. After that, you're stuck. So choose your words wisely.
I've noticed you can't see what a user is doing by mousing over their name any more. This is not something I changed and I'm hoping its a temorary glitch. Maybe I'm just nosey, but I liked knowing who was posting or reading where.
I like the Bon Marche idea, but I think it will take off after more people post items for sale. Right now we've only got 6, and four of them are from MC
