New York State's Conservative Party has called on state leaders to drop the four percent tax on gasoline, saying that the state can take a break from its tax windfall in order to help the economy along.
They've started a petition drive to push state "leaders'" hands.
You would think that the Conservative Party would be to the right of the Republicans ... and as such I would like them less than the Republicans. You would be wrong on both accounts. Perusing their web site, they like a lot of the things we've been promoting.
Suspend the gas tax. Stop taxing clothing. Lock up sexual predators. End the smoking ban.
The only thing I don't like is their apparent affinity for Karl Rove.
