Two former presidential candidates David Cobb and Michael Badnarik (also both former guests of the show), have filed suit in New Mexico asking for the 2004 election to be recounted.

Lawyers for the state argue that recounting is moot since it won't change the result of the election.

Apparently the truth is only important sometimes.
