N.Y. shuts down illegal LiveStrong bracelet operation
State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer says his office shut down an illegal New York City operation that imported and sold counterfeit LiveStrong bracelets.
Spitzer says the defendants in the case pleaded guilty and turned over $111,830 to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, based in Austin, Tex., which benefits from the popular bracelets.
"This was a cynical scheme to profit from the public's strong support for the Lance Armstrong Foundation's work," Spitzer says.
There should be a special place in hell for these people ... or at least a special place in jail.
Pssst--Wanna buy a Rolodex watch? Grucci purse? Eves Saint Laurant shoes?
If they could be knocked off and sold for profit and without a copyright, those buggers would be hawkin Crucifixes on top of cardboard boxes on street corners! Funny thing is, there is a special place for these people, it's called the Cayman Islands.
