"I just think this gay cowboy movie is the funniest damn thing. So I talked about it - by myself - for an hour. We got several complaint calls during the show."
What were the complaints?

I'm not sure a single movie about gay cowboys will overturn the stereotypes established by the 27,000 straight-cowboy movies.
Although the Duke was a little light in the stirrups...

Funny that the only two guys that write about this topic are closet homos that hate the prez! Do you hate him for political reasons or just because he doesn't like guys that play with other guys peepees. HMMMM makes you wonder.

I love how anonymous posters are so quick to judge. I would also like to hear what the complaints were.

How's it going? Good show this morning. Particularly liked the part about throwing the entire Congress out, including the "good" ones, and starting over.
Looks like Indianapolis didn't quite have what it takes. The Chargers! Who would have thunk it?
Man, was it cold bastard last night or what? Mercury must've bottomed out around 10 degrees or so.
Done with your Christmas shopping yet? I've still got a few things to pick up.
Well, that's all for now. Hope you have a good day at the station.
Top 'o the afternoon to you!
Your friend,
Jim
PS.
WHAT WERE THE COMPLAINTS!

WHAT WERE THE COMPLAINTS!
Jim,
At least three people called the business line to say that I should be taken off the air for talking about such a subject. It seemed to the office staff that the callers thought I was making up the whole premise of the movie. One seemed to believe that I was essentially saying "cowboys are gay."
One of the complaintants said he was going to write a letter to Mr. Greene asking that i be fired over said show. Another was upset that I wasn't talking about "important things going on in the community."
To the best of my knowledge, none of those who called the office to complain, called me during the show.
Actually, it opened on 2,000 screens, but it looks interesting nonetheless. A lot of great movies get no recognition, like "Cube." Great flick.

So, you've seen King Kong and Zathura and Harry Potter and Star Wars but you are not going to see a "gay cowboy" movie.
Do you have something against cowboys?

Serenity is a sequel/continuance to the firefly series on Sci-fi that used to air on USA a few yrs ago. I just started watching it on sci-fi & wonder why it only lasted a season.
I saw a little bit of rhinestone cowboy with John Travolta on tv a while back. I'd consider that a gay cowboy movie.

serenity was a great action adventure sci fi movie , non stop action . lotsa fun . my wife almost wet her pants because she could not pull herself away long enough because there were no breaks in the action ...... serenity also could be called a chick flick because in the end somebody kisses a chick . not the heroine but still she is a chick . it is still in the 3 dollar theaters here i think ....
i saw cube , it was good also , weird , but good , i think there is a cube 2 , which i did not see .
i dont like chick flicks that dont center around an action adventure movie , i really dont think i would like a non action adventure chick flick that was missing the chick .... so i plan on missing the gay cowboy movie ....
The sequel is Cube 2: Hypercube and the prequel, which I just ordered from Netflix, is Cube Zero.

I'm waiting for the sequel. Y'see, these two gay cowgirls meet on a cattle drive...
