The whole story is out now. A 16 yr.old girl left a written threat in a girl's bathroom about a bomb. The school brought in (it sounds like) 3 or 4 bomb sniffing dogs from various agencies to comb the school for explosives. The girl has been arrested.
I just think the whole thing is so sad. She probably didn't understand the magnitude of what she has done before she did it. She just cost the taxpayers mucho bucks! Now her parents will have to pay a lawyer for her defense (plus fines). She has scarred her permanent record (so cliche, but true), she will have to go to the alternative school, and now everyone will consider her in the same class as Tim McVeigh. I hope it was worth it!

according to the paper she also pulled a fire alarm earlier. She probably did it to get even. However, at 16 i'm sure she fully understood what she was doing & what would happen if she was caught. Sucks to be her.
Never criticize someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you DO criticize them, you are a mile away, and you have their shoes...
If you choose any truth and follow it blindly, it becomes a falsehood, and you, a fanatic.
Yes it is sad they think this way, anything to get out of school. They have no idea what happens when the make these threats. Maybe schools should teach this every year, this is what happens when a school calls 911. The schools have to make that call even if they think it's a hoax. The number of emergency personnel this ties up has to be huge. I heard there were 4 bomb hoax incidents yesterday.

When I went to starpoint, they made it very clear what happens when someone pulls a fire alarm as a prank. They made it point to let students know that if emergency people are at the school for a false alarm they can't be somewhere else if there is a real emergency. How it was a crime & how you could be fined, ect.
I can't remember if they got into the fuel wasted and things like that. but then gas cost less than a dollar a gallon then.
Unless this girl is mentally deficient in a clinical sence, no one can tell me she didn't fully understand what she was doing. Especially since she should of been given a good talking to after pulling the fire alarm.
