Saddam's WMD audio tapes
Permalink Closed

well this should be fun . John Loftus is not a rabid Bush supporter , if he supports this , i think it bears watching .    allegedly someone has an audio tape that captures Saddam's thoughts on WMD ending in the year 2000. the tape s will be presented to some people that should be able to prove or disprove the validity of the tape s. 2-17-06

I joined another forum about 5 days ago & today a couple of nut-jobs showed up posting pages of cut & pasted "Facts" from other "sources" claiming Bush had the twin towers blown up so he could go to war.

They claim the planes never could of knocked the towers down because they were built too strongly & that it was secretly planted bombs by the government that actually brought them down.

Perhaps I don't get out there enough, but this is a new one on me.
Seriously, what goes through peoples minds.

claiming he lied about WMD is one thing, but this?

They don't even have real evidence, you tell them to prove it & they tell you to google key phrases & that it's right in front of your face.

It's almost funny.

But I really just find it disturbing that there are people treating 9/11 like this.

ah yes - it seems there are lots of people who make outrageous claims but then dont have the decency to show the facts that may support their claims , and yet they refuse to retract their statements - or show the facts that they used to arrive at the outrageous conclusion they have arrived at ....

i thought the way this was supposed to work was that forum members post an opinion supported by facts or a link to facts and then other forum members comment on the original with their opinions and supporting facts or links to them , apparently i was mistaken .

http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/01/10/news/web.0110clone.time.php  in other parts of the world , this is how it works when people make claims unsupported by facts ....

no , i did not claim that . i claim i have found someone [John Loftus] that claims they have information regarding Saddam's thoughts on WMD in Iraq , according to the link the info will be released on 2-17-2006 .  why the delay ? who knows ?

but in the meantime  http://www.nationalreview.com/murdock/murdock200601130811.asp  culled from this link we have these paragraphs ;  discussing the same pile of intelligence that the John Loftus link refers to .

"The Weekly Standard’s Stephen Hayes talked to 11 federal officials before concluding that documents U.S. troops captured in Iraq prove that “the former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein trained thousands of radical Islamic terrorists from the region at camps in Iraq over the four years immediately preceding the U.S. invasion.” Hayes reports, “Secret training took place primarily at three camps — in Samarra, Ramadi, and Salman Pak — and was directed by elite Iraqi military units.” Al-Qaeda-affiliated Muslim fanatics, such as Algeria’s GSPC and the Sudanese Islamic Army, were among the 8,000 or so murderers instructed between 1999 and 2002.

Handwritten notes, typed forms, computer discs, videos, and other “exploitable items” confirm Hussein’s philanthropy of terror, Hayes says. But America has translated only some 2.5 percent of this huge cache. Federal officials barely discuss what they have learned. Even unclassified papers remain unavailable. Absurd. Having studied some of these artifacts, one intelligence expert says: “As much as we overestimated WMD, it appears we underestimated [Hussein’s] support for transregional terrorists.”

RE: Religion Kept OUT Of Politics?

Sooooooo, Mike of the Mountain of Manchuria (yes, as in candidate and brain washed):

What say you about BS POTUS leaving us with this African Uranium Radium waste that WAS NOT FOUND in Iraq but rather, right here in Niagara County? What say you?

Do you really think that the "Risk driver of Radium-226" is a good thing to leave behind? Was this "well advised" as you claim? Can you cite references? National Academy of Sciences opinion? ANY OPINION from science that supports this being done to us IN SECRECY? Can you justify this in any fashion or manner?

This secretly pushed POTUS decision is called capricious, unilateral, arbitrary (he's no scientist), just ill conceived and executed. Did you know that the Lewiston "containment" facility (the NFSS-Niagara Falls Storage Site) contains not much--that's the US Court saying it's leaking (not me) and what does it contain (mainly)..?..well, looky there--it's that pesky "RISK DRIVER" of Radium-226. Did you know that that's one of the most dangerous of radioactive materials and or why? OH, but because it's BS Bad POTUS, some ill advised people think this was OK, including you?

So, bottom line--we have WMDs right here in Niagara County but he's spending BILLIONS to add more nightmarish materials to the environment of the midEast, as in dU and other radioactive munitions. What a nice POTUS---NOT!!

THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF SPEAK
By Michelle Malkin   ·   February 01, 2006 01:33 PM

***scroll down for update***

In civilized societies, if you are offended by a cartoon, you do not burn flags, take up guns and raid buildings, chant death to your opponents, or threaten suicide bombings.

You write a letter to the editor.

Here's a Tom Toles cartoon that our military leaders did not appreciate:

             photo of cartoon here

Here's a letter to the editors of the Washington Post that all 6 of the Joint Chiefs of Staff sent this week in response (click here for full-size .pdf file):

jointchiefs.jpg

The letter from the four-star generals and admirals reads in part:

We were extremely disappointed to see the editorial cartoon by Tom Toles on page B6 in the January 29th edition. Using the likeness of a service member who has lost his arms and legs in war as the central theme of a cartoon is beyond tasteless. Editorial cartoons are often designed to exaggerate issues--and your paper is obviously free to address any topic, including the state of readiness of today's Armed Forces. However, we believe you and Mr. Toles have done a disservice to your readers and your paper's reputation by using such a callous depiction of those who have volunteered to defened this nation, and as a result, have suffered traumatic and life-altering wounds...

...While you or some of your readers may not agree with the war or its conduct, we believe you owe the men and women and their families who so selflessly serve our country the decency to not make light of their tremendous physical sacrifices.

As the Joint Chiefs, it is rare that we all put our hand to one letter, but we cannot let this reprehensible cartoon go unanswered.

"2-17, 2-17, 2-17" like you've been chanting it for long enough to have gone and planted the evidence there yourself. Heck, you could have made it there and back hitchhiking! Mike's lie was that he said he was here to help.

Joint Chiefs, all six of them--

"...While you or some of your readers may not agree with the war or its conduct, we believe you owe the men and women and their families who so selflessly serve our country the decency to not make light of their tremendous physical sacrifices."
--------------------

Sooo, what do the Joint Chief's--that have DIRECTLY caused these debilitating life altering physical sacrifices to happen owe these men, women and their families?

Toles didn't send them over there. Let me get this straight: It's ok for the generals to send them into what's becoming more and more known as a needless conflict--(remember 21 Century thing), that it's ok to send them into harms-way, but it's not ok for Cyndi Sheehan to spit on POTUS IF she wanted to--or to have Mr. Toles excercise HIS right to free speech--oh but not with YOUR POTUS. Not big enough shoulders to bear the force of a mother? A cartoonist? Six bad generals in defense? Wow!

The other thing is this, get me some guys with their legs blown off that don't like this cartoon, then talk. Otherwise, just pie-hole drivel ... NO, Not the row of monkey-brass polishers in Washington. I think I know why they call it the "Joint Chiefs" now.

Mike, did you ever serve your country?

And by callous, they mean candid. And by depiction, they mean realistic representation. Ignoring the dead and wounded of this war is all part of this administrations plan. When's the last time you saw a real quadruple amputee on th news, or sitting behind Bush at one of his three-word-slogan speeches? This adminstration is peeved because Tolls tells it like it is.

And by 'adminstration,' I mean 'a room full of monkeys.'

Did you ever serve?

What does it mean when someone refuses to answer a straight question? Did you ever serve?
