"You are so entrenched in the perceived absolutes of your agenda" ... \
Oh, BTW, Nuclear Physics IS a pretty absolute science. That may be the reason for my stand and fortitude with regard to the real dangers and not the danger you think I am as stated below. As I have said before, get a book...PHYSICS MADE SIMPLE, Doubleday, is an excellent start at about $14.00 US.. From there, but unfortunately much more expensive, is the CRC Chemistry and Physics handbook (I think the 85th edition-2005) at about $150. to 175. US..
See, I can be helpful.
Xo,
Lou Ricciuti

Don't worry about my temper--It is very tempered. I'd be WAY MORE CONCERNED with what you and your family are being exposed to in our environment.

You've run a Google search on my name, thank you, except I can't do the same. RADSAFE is quite the misnomer and I encourage anyone to go look at all of my posts to that blog site. Professional nuclear engineers, weapons designers and others populate this board. I have asked questions and been less than successful in gaining any knowledge from them. As I said in the post before this was brought up, the people there are all weapons designers, atomic mongers and the like...like they like more radiation type of folks.
Anonymous, you really crack me up. You won't even answer the one simple question of which was your first post. I'm supposed to be quaking in my boots here over the Rad"safers." Please and crack me up (he says wiping milk from his nostrils). Answer the one question, please.
There is a risk to being exposed to the mist. Not my say so. I'm being cautious in the radio announcements only for the sake of the scientific debate, you see. There is debate going on right now behind the scenes--wanna know who's publishing a scientific paper on the subject?
Sorry, I can't just yet and it ain't me.

Are these not people from all over the world with lifetimes in the field and with solid credentials. Most could not be contained at openly mocking your assumptions, your lack of understanding in the discipline, the overt fear mongering in the wording of your postings and the agenda that you went looking to prop up instead of dealing with actual science. You deal in hearsay and gross exaggerations in your radio interviews. You have told everyone that perhaps exposure to the mist of Niagara could be dangerous to perhaps kids and pregnant women. Show us the science to back up this assumption. We need to perhaps test the Maid boat captains down there and treat them if this is true given their lifetimes of exposure. Did you test the water as the interviewer suggested? Or could the truth take some fear out of your cause? Who is standing with you Lou? "
mighty big words and lots of hate here. I don't think you are being very nice at all. When I scroll back it looks like you started this, if you can't stand the heat get out of the county.
Be sure to look for other "activist" types and their posting questions to this baord. See the response that they all get from these "professionals"...not so nice. Hey, thanks anonymous, I want everyone to see how people are treated by those in charge of your health and safety around nuclear materials, and your support of them. I especially like the posts between me and Ruth Weiner. She's a weapons designer at the national labratory (I won't name). Or, the fellow from Vienna is also fascinating. When would I be able to get that answer anonymous? Which was your first post?
That's my last time asking it before I send Nukedlou to go find out who you are!!!

If you want THAT job. I think that job is a little easy for someone as young as you. That's a job for someone in the rest home. One more post makes one hundred!

Well if you really think so, what do you suggest soon to be old timer?
I guess I'd rather see you do that job...you don't have kids in that school system do you :*)
If you know, and I know, and others know what we know--there's a chance of winning about the same as me standing on my head under the street light and spitting gold dubloons thiry feet. Cool image, eh?
There, that makes one hundred posts. What's that--I hear a lonesome HOWL in the woods.

Thank you Anonymous. I did just go back to RAD"safe"and look at all of my previous posts and the responding answers. I AM QUITE VERY PROUD of that experience. I feel that it shows that I went into a professional physics realm and beat the bushes and fought hard for whatever information I was able to gleen from the "keepers of the atom." While I will claim no standing in the Rad"afe" I will say that my info is being used in other scientific settings.
I suggest that you get the book The Angry Genie, by Dr. Karl Z. Morgan, Oklahoma University Press. He was the head of health physics for the Oak Ridge Laboratory for 30+ years. He agreed with my findings about Niagara. Actually, I've been collecting support letters for my research and hypothesis for nearly the last five years.
Motivation and agenda drive Rad"safe" and NOT health-physics safety. Read the book and THEN come back with your response anonymous. Morgan called them all "meter-readers." So who am I to be most concerned with? You and rad"safers" or Dr. Morgan?
Cheers, LR
