According to the NYS Dept of Health web site, Niagara County was 6th of 62 counties in the incidence of childhood cancer, at a little over 12 cases per year.

However, looking at this table you can see that most all counties are tightly grouped around 19, 20 or 21 cases per 100,000 residents, so 6th place may not be statistically significant.

I looked at various sites regarding multiple sclerosis, like CDC and NYSDOH and various MS societies, and none report a connection between MS and environmental toxic waste levels.

This fulfills a campaign promise I made the other day. Some of you may have more reliable numbers or data which contradicts what I've posted here.

Just for the fun of it, see if you can challenge or question this post without calling me names, ascribing sinister motives to me, or disparaging my parentage.

   which campaign promise was that ? i dont see it fulfilled by this post .

so - i challange you , the number s you quote are fudged , fake ,phony , one time i believed them also  but anecdotal evidence does not support the numbers posted by CDC and DOH . for instance one house located within the borders of the loow site that has had a total of 9 residents over 40 years has had 2 of those residents die with cancer in their brains at TOD , time of death ,  one of those perished in 2003 , his death of lung and brain cancer was attributed to pneumonia alone on his death certificate , so was he counted in the CDC , DOH figures as pneumonia or lung / brain cancer ?  how many deaths are really tabulated as pneumonia when in fact they are something much worse ?   another house up the road from that one has an equally as bad record . 2 out of 9 , that is better than 20%  .... this as you know is not an isolated happening ...  

my mom and my uncle were the two of the nine , color me interested and motivated to find the solution .  

   for niagara county  NYS DOH shows 6.82 per 1000 about .7% as the adult mortality figure for cancer of most types combined ... does not come close to what the locals are actualy seeing ....    how come ?    how come the incedence to mortality ratio is worse for niagara county than the rest of the state - in other words if you do get cancer in niagara county you have a statisticly better chance of dieing from it than elsewhere in the state - ? hows that possible ?   

those that know of these things , myself not included, state that the incubation period for cancer development after exposure to radiation is 12 to 20 years - so to really see the effects you need to study a group that was exposed 12 to 20 years after the fact , for the most part excluding children from any meaningful study . 

 but there is a test group availible for study that has been exposed more than 12 to 20 years ago and the list is updated every year , - there just is no juice or interest to do the grunt work and compile the data .  if the study were to be completed and it were to prove that the CDC and  DOH #s are fudged someone would have to take notice - CDC and DOH would actually have to live up to their reason for existance, they would have to identify and remove or isolate the cause of the problems ....
