Scott, did you realize that the Flag and Pickup truck you saw was probably the same pick-up truck that was parked at Ida Fritz park all weekend (memorial day), was on it's way to take part in the re-enactment of the Civil War that they held there Friday through Monday? The confederate flag flew all weekend over there. Canon's were blasting, and the re-enacters delighted the neighbothood kids and passersby with historical stories and facts. It was quite an education. Like it or not, the confederate flag is an important part of our nations history and how we got to where we are today. Do you propose banning (or burning) the flag rather than teach our children about American History?
I certainly don't propose banning OR burning the flag. I simply propose prudence. Know why you're flying the flag. And know that it offends people. Doing so as a historical account is sensical and I would agree that it's a good idea. But I doubt the driver of the Confederate-flag-flapping-pickup was wearing his confederate uniform around Niagara County all weekend (assuming your hypothesis to be true), so why fly the flag in between sites. Fold it up ... properly ... and unfurl it at your next event.

Personally, I don't care for war re-enactors. I think war is something that should not be re-lived for our children to learn from. I don't care for the Confederate flag, because of the principles it stood for. Flags are symbols, and they stand as reflections of those who fly them.
Many things, such as slavery, genocide and the Reagan Years are an integral part of our history. Does that mean we need to shackle minorities or feign shooting Indians from horseback to learn about these dark times in our history? I hope not. We need to read more and 'watch' less history in movies and on TV... maybe we're becoming too visual a culture?

If we’re going to save mankind we need to turn leadership of our governments over to women. Women, in general, have different approaches to conflict resolution, are less concerned about amassing money and power, and have an innate sense of sustainability and stewardship of the planet. There would be a lot less war and suffering if we did.
I think electing Sen. Clinton president would be a real good start.

The audience applauds!!

As Old Rod Serling use to say--"For a moment, if you will, on a sound stage somewhere in the foothills..Submitted for your approval"
If we could get a good CGI of Ronny on horseback shooting at slaves instead of Native Americans...and we morph that with cannons, monkeys & kids waving Nazi, Iraqi - and lets throw in that Rising Sun flag, yep, we got us a real-surreal screen play there fer sure.
THAT flag should not be "flown." Display case or education classroom are OK by me..BUT..How ya gonna stop someone? If you legislate (PLEASE NO), then you will have to have a penalty like a fine. The next thing you"lll be fined for all flag "offenses." Then there goes another free speech-personal freedom, poof gone, etc. Webster says-CONUNDRUM.

Look at all the great things he accomplished. Look outside your liberal box. There's a whole world moving on without you. I wonder if Liberals qualify for Affirmative Action status? They are minorities in our great country.
<Sen Clinton is less concerned about amassing power and money? The very act of amassing power and money is the closest thing to true love she has ever known!>
Oh, you're so right Anon, her and Bill being Ivy League-educated attorneys, they obviously directed their career paths away from corporate law or private practice to public service for the money.
As far as power, I guess she did have the final say-so on decorating the White House.
You sure have a lot of ovaries to criticize Sen. Clinton without revealing who you are, or criticizing anyone for that matter.

When they ship our planes from our military base to her home town in Arkansas, I hope they give her back to them as a package deal. The word around the base is that they are faking the closing to make Hillary look good to set her up for 2008. I'm just happy I live so close to the border so I can leave the country if she becomes the President.

I have the usual number of ovaries, thanks - and neither an old egomaniac like you or Hillary will ever get near them. OH NO... I am anonymous and criticizing your political goddess. That is so un-American of me. How will you sleep without howling at the moon tonight?
As much as you enjoy baiting Lou and everyone else, you think you would get used to being a total pariah by now.

You're kidding me, right? Who is this "they" and why are "they" helping Hillary Clinton? Is it the "they" Democratic administration? The "they" Democratic majority in the House of Representatives? The "they" Democratic majority in the Senate? Or the "they" Democratic operatives in the Pentagon trying to help Hillary out? Think just for a minute about your assanine assertion before spreading it. If "they" were trying to help Tommy Boy in that fashion, at least that's plausable. But even that is too X-Files for me. Sorry, you're just pulling "they" out your @$$ cause there must not have been enough bad spelling or grammer to criticize.
Why do I have to get the Dummies trying to sound smart on my side Scott? I would have to agree. What kind of back asswards crap are you trying to fling at us Anon. Usually this kind of conspiracy theory stuff comes from the left Or from a Mike Moore movie.LOL!

So Scott, how do you really feel about this? Don't hold back now.

Sorry, AW. I get a bit worked up. It's infuriating for me that every branch of every government that oversees me is run by the GOP and yet, still, everything is the Democrats fault ... and particularly the Clintons. Its as though some people are intelligent enough to figure out why things really happen ... so we'll just blame Bill and Hillary. I don't always blame Bush. Sometimes it's Tom Delay's fault. Sometimes the blame should go to Bill Frist. And occasionally it's Congressman Reynolds' fault. Once in a while it's even the fault of George Pataki ... George Maziarz ... or the Niagara County Legislature.

I said Clinton would be a good president, and that makes her my political goddess? Anonymous, it's understandable that a reactionary like yourself would see the world in terms of extremes.
<As much as you enjoy baiting Lou and everyone else, you think you would get used to being a total pariah by now.>
Oh no, do you mean, (gasp) you think I should be voted off the Forum island? I don't deserve to be part of your online universe?
How about if I change my handle to Pariah Carey? Pariah Heep? Pope Pariah I?
Anyway, please elaborate on what your specific problems are with Hillary, and in particular, why you live in New York State if she makes your life so hellish. Do you have the same problems with Schumer, or is he less threatening to you than a female in a leadership role?
