So, I was listening to some rap music 2 am this morning when some jerk turned on his car stereo 2 blocks away.


I closed my bedroom window, but then I could feel my walls vibrating to dull BOOOM BOOOM.


 


Isn’t there a noise ordinance in this city?


I refuse to bother the police with dumb things like this.


 


I’m not that old & like my music loud, but never concert in the park loud in my car.

First of all - your rap music? Or theirs? I thought I was the only one here that liked rap.

Secondly, yes there most certainly IS a noise ordinance, but it's almost impossible to enforce - especially on a moving car.

The rap music you're describing is the droning rap with an ultra heavy beat that is not so much designed to entertain you, but to attract attention to yourself. The stereo equipment is specially formatted to handle the ultra-low bass frequencies wihout damaging the speakers.


It's not even real rap, it's just annoying. Best rap around is Beastie Boys, RunDMC & Anthrax


Just keep a water balloon on your porch, next time they drive by, aim for the open window.

It definetly insn't Beastie Boys & it isn't mine.

It's the thumpa thumpa "look at me, Look at me" type of music.

Sorry I'll turn my music down next time I drive by. "Ah Ite" that's slang. My hearing is so bad I'm thinking of getting closed captioning added to my car radio.LOL You know what thy say you can't spell Crap without Rap!

I saw the Beastie Boys twice....They rocked! That's when rap was rap, not crap!

Check my facts? Check my facts? Bud, I LIVED through that era, I grew up with heavy metal AND rap. Have you ever heard of Public Enemy? The Scott Ian Project? Go download "Bring the Noise" and then shut yer piehole, punk.

A thought half a month later.


They enforce the speed limit on a moving car.
