U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice David H. Souter lives in a $100,000 rustic farmhouse in Weare, N.H. -- population 8,400.

But not for long if a California man gets to turn it into a hotel ... and generate revenue for the town.

A recent Supreme Court decision said municipalities can take private property through emminent domain and give it to another private entity if that second entity will pay higher taxes than the first.

Looks like Souter shoulda rethought that, huh?
