I wonder how many were bought by religious groups just so they could be publically burned? It happened last time

My cousin lives in Alabama and witnessed one of those book burnings. It was disgraceful. Some church had used parishoners' money to buy about 200 books and torched them.
Tell us more MC. That's a great series...what's wrong with it?
Don't get me wrong, I love the Potter phenomenon. It's done wonders for childrens' literacy. What I have an issue with is people creating evil where none exists. They claimed that Harry Potter promoted witchcraft of all things. It's just a book. Kids know that. The only reason they were burning his books is because burning people is now against the law, or at the very least, clean air statutes.
