OK Scott, how about a compromise to the sign in names. Threads can’t be started anonymously and who ever starts the thread can pick open posting to all or members only. Thoughts anyone?

I vote that only literate property owners can post. No renters. No trailers. If that don't work we could try alphabetizing a list or even use virtual straws. Where's that I.Q. thread? That would be a start huh? How about Helouise...or what's that etiquette Bags name? You know, throw a party, invite some people, those people insult your other guests and community--and then you have to move out of the neighborhood from embarrassment. Antisocial behavior is antisocial behavior--kind of like war. OOps-no compromising about any war on this board now. From Smores to Howitzers, this board has it all. I want to see an armor piercing Fisher-Price toy. Of course as a compromise.

I want to see a 40 ton tracked children's vehicle selling lemonade and cookies by the side of the road, not burnt out and painted pretty colors--now that's compromise. I want to see flowers in gun barrels again and I want to see tears run in reverse.

Now there's good compromise for all. Yum.

That last post seems to be a very good example of my point. A thread was started today by an anonymous poster followed by 10 anonymous posts. Was this one poster or ten, maybe somewhere in the middle. The posting stopped when Scott asked a question in an attempt to help. What is going on, I'm not sure that any posts here are taken seriously on this forum any more. If that's your goal anonymous posters, your doing a fine job. This is no longer a site to catch up with local information or the latest news. Debating issues and having some fun with each other seems to have stopped. Does anyone wonder why?

I agree that the anonymous postings are not good for the forum. I understand that most of us use anonymous screen names. You still get to know and understand a person based on there posts when attached to a screen name. I am sure that most of the people that have reviewed this forum know where people like mindcrime, nuclearlou, scott and myself stand on many issues. There is a value in that. Anonymous childish rants deter from real debate.
