Just got done watching the special on ABC. It was very moving. Notable: no commercials during the entire two hour broadcast. I used to watch Peter Jennings and ABC World News Tonight almost every day ... from the time I was little until I left for college. I regret not wathing more after 1992.

Tonights special reminded me that Peter Jennings was many of the things that I love about journalism ... and he was not many of the things I deplore. There was a section during the special about the fact that he hated covering things like the OJ Simpson trial cause he felt they distracted from REAL NEWS. That's exactly how I feel.

We'll never have another Peter Jennings.
