It always seems like gas prices have hit their limit upward ... and W's approval level has hit it's limit downward. And then the next week, gas us up and Bush is down.

President Bush's standing with an American public anxious about Iraq and the nation's direction is lower than that of the last two men who won re-election to the White House Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton at this point in their second terms.

People just aren't happy with the results Bush produces:

All of our money was dumped into our 'security' and the war, yet there's more terrorism now than ever.

Gas prices are at an all-time high, so Bush signs a MASSIVE energy bill that not only does nothing to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but gives billions of dollars to oil companies.

Heard anything about social security this term? Me neither.

Of all the people in his administration, he chooses Bolton to represent our nation in the U.N., a choice no one else agrees with, so he side-steps the official process and waves him in.

Bush constantly backs blatant liars, such as Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove & Rafael Palmeiro.

He thinks his administration can do no wrong. By extension, neither can his friends and allies. And when they do get caught in an obvious transgression, they just lie bold-faced to the public until they stop asking questions. People in those red states aren't really stupid per se, just slow and easily led. Now they're slowly realizing the horrible mistake they've made.
