FIRST--I don't like the US Army Corps--at least the Buffalo office. These are the folks in charge of the Lewiston-Porter Lake Ontario Ordnance Works (LOOW). You know, that's the place where things are leaking and no one is sure of just what's out in those fields--finding Plutonium, animal parts from experiments and much more. Work that was done by a local US Army Corps contractor and no one wants to speak of this publicly. No wonder, with these sorts of retribution! That's not saying a peep about local retribution from this group and their cronies.

Talk about Racketeering!

Funny (well, sort of), is that US Army Corps official (Judith Leithner, Ph.D.)  tells the Buffalo News that there's "No problem and No Danger" in published print pieces about the Lewiston LOOW site. BUT YET--under oath and in a sworn US Court document, that very same official is deposed as stating that: "Anyone who lived within one mile" of the old radium silo located there on the LOOW site "Should be in fear for their lives." Yes, that's the quote.

Scandal? The US Army Corps is RIFE with it! The same folks that brought you atomic fallout, the Cold War, Manhattan Project, Mississippi River dredging scandal and much more. Or rather, the folks behind the US Army Corps of Engineers...

IMHO--The USACE has lost or deviated from their mission years ago and no longer serve the function as "the country's leading engineers"--as the Corps is fond of saying.

Interestingly, we in Niagara County have our own multi-million dollar government contractor that works for the Corps--and constructed the leaking radioactive(s) "containment" structure--(read-basements) at the Lewiston-Porter LOOW Niagara Falls Storage Site (NFSS). Have you heard about this? According to the very same court document, the site is leaking it's radioactive contents.

I don't work for Haliburton, the US Corps or Enron, so I can't be fired--they might fire AT me but they can't fire me.

Regards,

Lou Ricciuti
