This explains everything. First the poster, then the "Environmental Leadership Institute," "John J. LaFalce Leadership "Love Canal and the American Dream: 500 years at America's Most (In)Famous Environmental Spot"

Rochester Institute of Technology
This event is co-sponsored by the NU Department of History.

MAYBE the first thing that NU should do is replace the History professor. "500 years" and Love Canal is a stretch anyway you dice it. Nice native American legend images blended to perfection with Mirex and Lindane...LOL!

RIT was involved in local dumping and in some experiments or another (human?).

Any more 'leaders' and we'd need an orchestra. Speaking of leaders and leadership..didn't NU's ELI head, Sean Kelly, JUST RESIGN his post (second resignation-first NF charter Commission) as the chairman of the Lake Ontario Ordnance Works "restoration" advisory board because of what he said were "time constraints?"

The most pressing environmental issue ever to face Niagara and the good professor bails out because he doesn't like what he see's and then has no time for it.

Will this "lecture" feature any of the negative impacts that parkway removal might cause? Will they be discussing any of the SEQR process on that? Nu and those folks are involved aren't they? Didn't they just hire that PR guy from FOX News? Jason Mollica? Wonder why?

Instead of "lectures," how about some "answers?" Would this guy know about our water?

Sounds interesting.  Thanks for the information Jim.

I worked at Love Canal during the summer of 1982 and met Congressman LaFalce and Senator Moynihan when they visited.

I have a story about that.  Mr. LaFalce is a good man.

If Mr. LaFalce is planning to be there, I will see if I can attend.
