No, not ours...


CEDAR CITY The host of a popular Cedar City radio program has been fired after making an on-air joke that offended at least one Mexican listener.
   Paul Fice, a former California Highway Patrol trooper known to his listeners as "Sarge,'' hosted the show "Trade-io'' on station KSUB. Listeners who want to sell or trade something call in, describe the item and leave a telephone number.
   Last Thursday, a man called to sell a "Mexican roping saddle,'' and Fice, who often makes comments about the items, joked that the saddle probably could be used to "rope Mexicans'' coming across the border.
   Later in the program an unidentified woman called in and said Fice's comment offended her. The company, Cherry Creek Radio, moved fast, firing Fice on Friday.

What a load of crap... There was no reason to fire him for that comment. It wasn't degrading to anyone. And if you think it wasn't funny, why are we considering building a giant fence across the US-Mexico border? Whew! You scared me...Paul Oates keeps me laughing even when I am in a bad mood...


Yes I am a giant loser and listen to LVL all day at work...But Tradio, what would we do without it? This story you are referring to sounds petty, at best. To fire that host seems ridiculous! There's always someone to offend, I guess.


Jeez, I hope no dead people call Paul and say they were offended when Paul refers to the ubiquitous Chevy Cadaver...

the stupid fence idea may not be stupid after all .   the fence installed in Israel  to keep out the Palistinian homecide bombers has / is working very well .   Israeli casualties are way down ,   now the palistinians are beginning to use rockets to murder israelis .    i dont think the Mexican and other illegal border jumpers will be using rockets to get across the fence   ....

How much border security can we have if hundreds (maybe thousands) of mexicans can make it across the border a day? They don't have special equipment or technological advantages. How do we expect to keep out the real threats? I thought we spent billions of dollars to make our borders secure? How is spending billions more on a stupid fence going to help?


And if we put a fence on our southern border, doesn't it make more sense to put one across our northern boundry first, long hailed as the longest 'unprotected' border in the world?

I had a message on my machine from someone calling about something on trad-eo.


It was a wrong number because I wasn’t selling anything.


The caller ID showed the call came from Delphi.


I hope it came from an office worker.


I can’t imagine someone leaving the line to call about matching coral colored recliners.

I can’t imagine someone admitting they owned a coral colored recliner, yet alone two.

border fences , north and south would have to slow down the flood of illegal immigrants .                      and to fund the construction , re direct the funding for the bird flu to the fences .     that is 7.1 billion , should make a dent .   probobly not a good idea to hire Mexican s to build the fences though ...

It's not a matter of feeling sorry for groups or individuals, it's about fairness. Some people would treat Mexicans one way and Germans another. Some feel that their neighbors are less than human because they're old or infirmed. Some feel that because they make a lot of money, they should be able to dispose of people like they were weeds.


Well guess what? Ppphhbbtt! Doesn't work that way.

We've got to do something about these people.

One measure that Republican leaders wouldn't allow a vote on was a volatile proposal to deny citizenship to babies born in this country to illegal immigrants.

We spend billions every month in Iraq, We spent billions on Katrina relief, we spent billions on rebuilding New Orleans and the levee repair, we gave billions to the oil companies, now we're spending billions on a fence...where are these billions coming from? We'd better get free oil from Iraq until 2010.


And I'm not knocking the fence idea whatsoever, I mean, it worked so well for the Chinese...
